Take on a pivotal role at Aecon as the Indigenous Relations Manager - North, focusing on cultural integration and community engagement. Your leadership will strengthen partnerships with Indigenous groups while adhering to regulations.
In this position, you will report to the Vice-President of Indigenous Relations and act as a key advisor in aligning Aecon's projects with Indigenous interests. By fostering mutual respect and collaboration, you will enhance Aecon's commitment to community welfare and economic development. Your skills will create pathways for Indigenous employment and business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with Indigenous communities through meetings and consultations
• Guide project teams on social and regulatory considerations
• Collaborate to enhance training and employment initiatives
• Facilitate the inclusion of Indigenous businesses in contracts
• Ensure compliance with partnership agreements
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Indigenous Studies or related field
• Demonstrated experience in Indigenous engagement
• Solid interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Willingness to travel to remote locations
• Familiarity with Indigenous governance and cultures
