SJC’s Print Division in Concord is one of Canada’s largest commercial printers, specializing in high-volume production of magazines, flyers, and catalogues. Scope/Overview Of Position:
This position is responsible for the quality of Electrical Maintenance and repair to ensure the continued reduction in electrical downtime throughout the manufacturing departments of the Concord facility and St. Joseph Print Corporation
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of a team of licensed electricians and electrical maintenance personnel.
Ensure timely and effective electrical maintenance of all print equipment, control systems, power distribution, lighting, and facility infrastructure.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical issues, minimizing production interruptions.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
Maintain detailed maintenance records, logs, and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety departments to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), ESA standards, and all applicable provincial regulations.
Manage electrical spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement with purchasing teams.
Train and mentor staff on safe work practices, LOTO and Electrical troubleshooting techniques
Work with Health Safety HR Specialist on co-ordinating annual Fire Drill Evacuation, and ensuring all Company safety standards are adhered too
Manage and ensure any outside Electrical contracted work adheres to the SJC standards
Maintain accurate documentation of electrical maintenance activities, system modifications, and performance reports
Assures that all electrical and automation work is completed according to respective codes
Ensure the proper functioning of electrical systems, including control panels, sensors, and motors

Qualifications, Education and Experience Required:
Licensed 442A or 309A Electrician in Ontario (442A Industrial Electrician preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Proven experience in a high-volume manufacturing or print facility is an asset.
Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, electrical schematics, and automation systems.
Proficient in troubleshooting electrical/electronic systems and working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Robust commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or TPM principles is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Fast-paced, large-scale industrial printing environment
Shift work and availability for being on call for support may be required
Physical activity including but not limited to: standing, lifting 50+ pounds, climbing ladders, built in machine steps, working in confined spaces and heights
