Camosun College is seeking a Part-Time Ideas Lab Technician to support student projects in the Ideas Lab. This role involves maintaining equipment, providing demonstrations, and facilitating workshops.

In this newly developed position, you will engage with students, providing guidance on the use of tools and software. Your responsibilities include ensuring the lab's protected operation and helping students achieve their project goals through direct support. You'll also assist in promoting the Ideas Lab and handling 3D printing services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as first point of contact in the Ideas Lab
• Support day-to-day operations and student assistance
• Provide demonstrations on tools and software use




• Maintain and organize lab equipment and space
• Promote workshops and assist with presentations

Requirements:
• Two-year technician diploma in Library Technology or similar
• Three years of relevant experience in an educational setting
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledge of digital fabrication and software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
