Position Overview Mercedes-Benz Vancouver is currently looking to fill the positionof Assistant Service Manager . Reporting to the Service Manager, thisrole supports the day-to-day operations of the Service Department andcontributes to delivering a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
The Assistant Service Manager plays an important role insupporting Service Advisors, assisting with operational oversight, ensuringservice processes are followed, and helping to resolve customer concerns. Thisposition works closely with customers, technicians, and dealership leadershipto support efficient service operations and a positive service experience.
This is a Commission-based position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Service Manager with the dailyoperations of the Service Department
Support Service Advisors in managing customerinteractions, appointments, and follow-up communication
Assist customers with service reminders,appointment scheduling, recall notifications, and service visit follow-ups
Help ensure high-quality service and repairs aredelivered to customers
Handle escalated customer concerns or complaintsin a professional and timely manner
Maintain accurate service records and reportingin accordance with manufacturer and dealership requirements
Support adherence to dealership processes,standards, and operational procedures
Work collaboratively with technicians and otherdepartments to promote efficient workflow
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, andcustomer-focused service setting
Contribute to continuous improvement effortswithin the Service Department
Perform other duties as assigned to supportservice operations
Qualifications Required Experience & Knowledge Minimum 5 years of combined experience in anautomotive service environment (e.g., Service Advisor, Technician, ShopForeperson, or related role)
General understanding of vehicle mechanics and service operations
Skills & Abilities Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communicationskills
Strong organizational skills with attention todetail
Ability to effectively multi-task in a quick-paced environment
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
Effective administrative and time-managementskills
Ability to work collaboratively with dealershipteams
Legally entitled to work in Canada
