Position OverviewWe are looking for a Sales Engineer, Security & Data Center Infrastructure to support our sales organization in a hybrid pre-sales and post-sales capacity. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping public and private sector customers design secure, resilient, and practical technology solutions across the enterprise data center stack, including compute, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud, and security. You will work closely with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle and remain engaged after implementation to help ensure successful outcomes and long-term customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesLead technical discovery sessions with customer stakeholders to understand current environments, requirements, constraints, and risk postureDesign and propose end-to-end solutions spanning compute, storage, networking, and security layers that align with customer objectives, budgets, and operational maturityDeliver technical presentations, whiteboard sessions, and product demonstrations for technical and executive audiencesDesign and lead proof-of-concept (PoC) and proof-of-value (PoV) engagements and validate outcomes against customer requirementsRespond to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs with technically sound and competitively positioned solutionsDevelop security-focused solution components, including threat models, compliance mappings, zero-trust architecture recommendations, and data protection strategiesPartner with Account Executives to build account strategies, qualify opportunities, and identify technical champions within customer organizationsEngage partner vendors and leverage their expertise where appropriateIn some cases, implement sold solutions,



including potential data and application migrationsMaintain long-term customer relationships as a trusted advisorObtain partner vendor certifications to expand technical knowledge and meet business requirementsStay current on evolving security threats, emerging data center technologies, and industry or regulatory trendsRepresent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer briefingsMentor junior sales engineers and contribute to internal enablement content, playbooks, and best practicesPerform other duties as required within the context of the roleQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of progressive hands‐on enterprise security experience in lieu of a degree5+ years of experience in enterprise IT, infrastructure, or security roles, including meaningful experience in pre‐sales, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consultingDeep expertise across enterprise security domains, including:Network security, including firewalls, segmentation, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust network accessIdentity and access management, including IAM, PAM, MFA, and SSOData protection and encryption, including key managementEndpoint and workload securitySecurity operations, SIEM/SOAR concepts, and incident response fundamentalsCompliance and regulatory frameworks such as NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and ISO 27001Working knowledge of the full enterprise data center stack, including:Compute platforms and virtualization technologies such as VMware,



Hyper-V, and KVMStorage technologies including SAN, NAS, block, file, and object storage, backup, and disaster recoveryNetworking technologies including switching, routing, SD-WAN, and load balancingData center facilities concepts including power, cooling, and redundancy modelsPublic and hybrid cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP, and cloud-to-on-premises integration patternsProven ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non‐technical audiencesExperience responding to formal procurement processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, particularly within public sector or regulated industriesExcellent presentation, communication, and relationship‐building skillsRelevant industry certifications strongly preferred, including CISSP, CISM, Security+, or vendor-specific security certifications from organizations such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, or FortinetPrior experience supporting public sector customers alongside private enterprise customers preferredExisting skilled network within enterprise security or infrastructure communities preferredExperience mentoring or leading a technical pre‐sales team preferredAdditional RequirementsAbility to function effectively in both pre‐sales and post‐sales engagementsAbility to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholdersWillingness to pursue and maintain partner vendor certifications as requiredCompensation$110,000 to $160,000 plus a commission planPosition TypeWe have 1 available position.Perks And BenefitsCompetitive, company-paid benefitsGenerous time off packageStock purchase planRRSP programFlexible work hours for eligible rolesPrograms to support employee health and well-being
