Supervise and enhance local sports programs as the Sport Development Supervisor with the City of Markham. Focus on fostering participation and community engagement at the Pan Am Centre.
This full-time role involves working closely with the Sport Development Coordinator to manage and facilitate various initiatives promoting sports in the community. You will be responsible for guiding staff and volunteers while building strong relationships with residents and stakeholders. Your skills will directly contribute to the success of community sport engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee implementation of sport development initiatives
• Recruit, train, and evaluate part-time staff performance
• Collaborate with local sport organizations for funding




• Ensure excellent customer service in all interactions
• Develop and present promotional materials for programs
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in sport management or recreation
• At least three years of supervisory experience required
• First Aid certifications valid and current
• Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of CLASS beneficial
• Strong leadership and cooperative skills
