Explore with us—your journey starts here.What You'll DoReporting to the Lead Branch Supervisor, or Programming and Community Engagement Supervisor, in the case of the Bookmobile, the Assistant Branch Supervisor assists with ensuring the smooth operation of the Library Branches. This is achieved through customer service, circulation functions, coordination of Branch programming, direct implementation of programs, and community outreach. The position involves a great deal of multitasking, organizational skills, and the ability to make decisions quickly and decisively. The incumbent assists the Supervisor as needed, and in the absence of the Supervisor, undertakes supervisory duties.What We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceTwo-year post-secondary diploma in Library Sciences or a related fieldOne year of previous experience in a unionized library, including working with children and adultsSkills & AbilitiesAdvanced computer skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office programsExcellent writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuationAbility to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problemsAbility to plan, organize,
