Our valued Public sector client requires a Google Cloud Platform Architect – Governance, Security & Operations – Provides technical leadership and architectural expertise to support the implementation, governance, security, and ongoing operations within the department.

Tasks:

• Platform Governance & Sustainment: Maintain governance, architecture, operational documentation, and identify platform gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities.
• Security & Compliance: Support security authorization, control assessments, compliance reviews, evidence gathering, and remediation tracking.
• Network & Access Governance: Review network connectivity, segmentation, firewalls, IAM/PAM, RBAC, least-privilege access, and security controls.
• Application Onboarding & Support: Support application onboarding, operational readiness, documentation, change management, issue tracking, and escalation.
• Stakeholder Coordination & Improvement: Coordinate with technical, security, and application teams to resolve issues and improve cloud processes and services.
• Reporting & Transition: Develop technical and operational reports, dashboards, risk updates, and transition materials to support governance and ongoing operations.

Must Have:

Experience supporting Google Cloud services, platforms, or projects for a large public sector organization :

• Google Cloud landing zones, enterprise cloud foundations, platform sustainment,
  
  
  
  or secure cloud service configuration.
• Security authorization, compliance support, control evidence, remediation planning, or Authority to Operate support.
• Infrastructure as code, automated deployment, configuration management, repeatable module patterns, or controlled platform deployment processes.
• Operational support documentation, technical procedures, architecture summaries, handover materials, knowledge transfer, or support model documentation.
• Identity and access governance, hybrid networking, DNS, firewall modernization, security monitoring, logging, SIEM integration, or operational dashboards.
