The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos, BC located in the beautiful south Okanagan Valley is accepting applications for the position of Accounting Clerk.

Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Financial Services, this full-time unionized position will provide support to the Financial Services department performing clerical and accounting functions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes and utility billing. This position requires a degree of independence and sound professional judgment. The Accounting Clerk supports the department by assisting team members during the property tax and utility billing due dates. Maintaining master tax and utility accounts which include any changes or additions to tax rolls received from Land Titles and BC Assessment. Maintaining master Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Pet License accounts. Setting up and maintaining Water Metering accounts, entering landfill AR,



mailing invoices with landfill slips and statements and following up on outstanding accounts.

The Accounting Clerk acts as one of the primary points of contact for phone enquiries from the public and external agencies regarding the municipality’s utility billing questions or property tax questions.

Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have graduated High School, Bachelors degree and enrolled in the CPA program second year. Two (2) years of office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with Vadim and iCompass is an asset.

Hours per Week
Full time 35 hrs/week – Unionized position

Hourly Rate
$38.51/hour, plus a generous benefits package
