Experience
Minimum two (2) years recent high risk Labour and Delivery experience and/or L.D.R.P. nursing experience required.
Minimum two (2) years recent experience in perioperative nursing in Labour and Delivery required.
Charge Nurse experience required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
Current CRNM registration required.
Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Annual BLS Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
NOTE: Successful completion and on-going renewal of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program at a time scheduled by the employer or at a time mutually agreed upon between the nurse and the employer required.
Qualifications and Skills
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills required.
Demonstrated effective organizational, interpersonal, critical thinking/problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills in response to a variety of simultaneous demands required.
Demonstrated teaching ability required.
Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
