Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using appropriate tools, fixtures, and indicators to set up machines, as well as loading, unloading, and modifying programs as required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC milling and lathe machines.

Use appropriate tools, fixtures, and indicators to set up the machine.

Load, unload, change, and modify programs as required.

Change and set cutting tools, and modify and grind tools as needed.

Adjust feeds and speeds for maximum efficiency.

Operate the machine with all safety precautions in place.

Deburr and prepare parts for loading and after unloading.

Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance.

Read and interpret blueprints.

Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist.

Experience with both CNC lathe and milling machines.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Experience in a precision machining environment, preferably aerospace.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Machinist certification or education is considered an asset.

Experience with Mastercam is an asset.

Experience in the aerospace industry is an asset.

Work Environment
This position operates in a precision machine shop during afternoon shifts, Monday to Thursday, from 3:00 pm to 12:40 am. The work environment is equipped with modern technologies and adheres to strict safety protocols.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mississauga, ON.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge,



geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Mississauga,ON.
