Become a vital part of CHEO's Audiology Service dedicated to children’s hearing challenges. This role focuses on evaluations, management of hearing difficulties, and device prescriptions.
The audiologist will provide hospital-based services to children, ages 0-18, through comprehensive assessments and management strategies. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective care plans are in place for each child. The position also involves educational outreach and potential supervisory roles for students in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform complete audiological evaluations using various procedures
• Interpret and analyze audiometric and diagnostic results
• Collaborate on personalized care plans for children
• Prescribe hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
• Lead educational programs for medical staff and families
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Audiology is essential
• Must be registered with the relevant Ontario college
• Authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program
• At least two years of experience in paediatric audiology
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
