Responsibilities Plan, prepare, andcooknutritious mealsin accordance withdietary requirements and menu plans ensuring all standards are met.

Ensure meals are served at theappropriate temperatureandin a timely manner.

Assistingwith the serving of meals to residentsensuringresidentfood preferences are respected.

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage and handling of food.

Collaborate with dietary staff to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents.

Assist the Food and Nutrition Manager in control of food costs, waste, and ordering.

Monitor food inventory and communicate to theappropriate channelsto coordinate ordering of supplies.

Ensure all Public Health and Ministry of Long-Term Care requirements are met.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area,



including equipment and utensils.

Assistwithspecial eventsand catering asrequired.

Requirements Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Actrequired.

Chef/Cook
