Make a difference as a Community Nurse with the First Nations Health Authority, supporting St’at’imc and Nlaka'pamux communities. This in office role requires a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
The First Nations Health Authority offers a unique opportunity for a Community Health Nurse to enhance health outcomes through direct care in First Nations communities. Your role will encompass core nursing practices, engagement with local populations, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Regular travel will be necessary for community outreach and health initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing services in community health
• Promote wellness and prevent disease across populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Conduct patient assessments and health education
• Travel locally for health program support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent experience
• Current registration with BCCNM
• At least one year of nursing experience required
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License necessary
• Basic Life Support Certification Level C
