Global Raymac Surveys is seeking experienced Civil Construction Surveyors to support project work in Calgary and across Western Canada . The successful candidate must be familiar with all aspects of construction surveying. Transportation-related survey experience would be a significant asset.
Candidates must be willing to travel and work away on shift rotation.
Qualifications
Diploma in Geomatics Technology or minimum 2 years experience as a Party Chief in civil construction
Well versed in the operation of robotic total station and GNSS
Valid driver’s license is required
Must have CSTS20 and current First-Aid
Compliance with Global Raymac’s Drug and Alcohol policy
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Responsibilities
Accountability for field survey work as assigned
Autonomous station and equipment setup
Full and autonomous field stakeout set up
Complete accountability for company gas card and credit card purchases associated with their field work
Equipment maintenance, control, repair, and inventory accountability
Complete interpretation of, and execution of, Project Manager field direction
Data collection and field measurement downloading & accuracy
Advanced calculation skills and angle/ distance measurement
Completion of Field Hazard documentation and assessments
Responsible for their own safe conduct within the field and for identifying and rectifying any hazards and or unsafe working situations
Adherence to all Health and Safety Standards, practices, and procedures
The compensation package for this position will be commensurate with the level of responsibility of the position as well as the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Global Raymac will provide benefits to the successful candidate.
