Support the health of children at The Hospital for Sick Children as a Pre-Anesthesia Clinic Nurse. Be pivotal in ensuring secure and effective imaging experiences for pediatric patients.
SickKids is looking for a compassionate Registered Nurse to expand its Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology team. The Pre-Anesthesia Clinic Nursing role involves assessing anesthetic risks, coordinating care plans, and educating families about pre-imaging processes. You'll work closely with an interdisciplinary team to accommodate the specific needs of young patients undergoing anesthesia.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as a key liaison for families during imaging
• Assess health histories and anesthetic risks comprehensively
• Provide detailed pre-imaging education to families




• Coordinate care in collaboration with healthcare professionals
• Ensure ethical and safe nursing practices at all times
Requirements:
• Approved Baccalaureate Nursing Program graduate
• Registered in good standing with Ontario's nursing board
• At least 2 years of pediatric nursing experience is ideal
• Relevant experience in Pre-Anesthesia nursing required
• Strong personal accountability and critical thinking skills
