Senior Project Control Officer (PCO) – Wealth Management Technology Our client is seeking a Senior Project Control Officer (PCO) to support a large, complex regulatory technology initiative within Wealth Management.
The project involves multiple technology teams, business stakeholders and external vendors and represents a significant investment for the organization. The PCO will work closely with the Project Manager to maintain strong project governance, financial controls, reporting and delivery coordination.
This is a senior PCO role , requiring someone who can operate independently, anticipate what needs to be done and take ownership of activities rather than simply providing administrative support.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of stepping up to lead specific activities when required.
Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day project controls and delivery support to the Project Manager.
Support project governance, planning, reporting and delivery management.
Maintain project financials, forecasts, budgets and expenditure tracking.
Coordinate financial forecasting activities across project teams and ensure inputs are received on time.
Monitor project spend against approved budgets and identify variances or emerging financial risks.
Support the Project Manager in understanding and communicating financial impacts.
Maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, action logs and key project documentation.
Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies and commitments across multiple teams.
Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project activities and deliverables.




Prepare project status reports, dashboards and management updates.
Support governance meetings, including preparation of materials, action tracking and follow-up.
Identify risks, issues, dependencies and gaps and proactively escalation where appropriate.
Coordinate across technology teams, business stakeholders and vendors.
Take ownership of project activities and workstreams when delegated by the Project Manager.
Step in and lead activities independently when the Project Manager is unavailable.
Ensure project information is accurate, current and aligned across reporting and governance mechanisms.
Support the Project Manager in maintaining overall project health and delivery discipline.
Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in a PCO, Project Coordinator, Project Controls or Project Management capacity.
Strong experience supporting complex technology projects.
Experience working in financial services / banking strongly preferred.
Strong project financial management experience, including forecasting, budget tracking and variance analysis.
Experience with project governance, reporting, RAID management and delivery tracking.
Strong organizational and coordination skills.




Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively without requiring constant direction.
Strong attention to detail without becoming overly administrative.
Ability to understand the broader project context and proactively identify what needs to happen next.
Comfortable working across multiple technology teams and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting regulatory initiatives.
Experience supporting large-scale technology programs.
Experience supporting projects valued at $10M+.
Experience working with vendor-led technology implementations.
Experience in highly governed banking environments.
Experience with enterprise project management and financial management tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a senior, commercially aware PCO who operates as a true partner to the Project Manager .
This is not an administrative meeting-minutes role. The successful candidate should be able to manage project controls, financials, reporting and governance while proactively driving follow-ups, identifying issues and taking ownership of work.
They should be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment where priorities move quickly and should be capable of stepping in and leading activities when the Project Manager needs support.
Financial services experience is strongly preferred because of the complexity of the environment. Wealth Management experience is an asset but not a mandatory requirement .
