Position OverviewAutodesk Platform Service and Emerging Technology team is looking for full stack talents to work on a platform workflow engine. In this role, you will build a multi‐tenant durable workflow engine on top of Temporal IO that lets Autodesk teams and customers define, execute, schedule, and monitor workflows.ResponsibilitiesDesign and evolve scalable, multi‐tenant backend services and APIs to support a variety of product use casesBuild, maintain and improve service layers and business logic with a focus on reliability, performance, maintainability and cost efficiency over timeDevelop intuitive web interfaces for features using modern frontend frameworksIntegrate with enterprise‐grade identity, authentication, and authorization systemsEnsure system reliability through fault‐tolerant design, retry strategies, and graceful degradationWrite automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to engineering best practicesCollaborate with the Platform team to leverage shared infrastructure, tools, and servicesOwn the full engineering cycle including designing, prototyping, coding, validating, deployment, and troubleshootingKeep the system updated in time for security complianceBe accountable for the service's SLOs by driving and improving the process including service reviews, fire drills and HA assessmentPerform on‐call rotation for in‐time service recovery to guarantee the health of the production systemEstablish robust partnerships and collaborate effectively with engineering teams worldwide through concise communication, strong commitment, and a win‐win mindsetEfficiently leverage AI tools to boost productivity, share best practices, and promote excellence to the engineering communityMentor and lead junior members to contribute to project goalsRequirementsBachelor in Computer Engineering with 5+ years working experience or equivalent MSComprehensive technical knowledge and experience in software development methodologies, design, implementation,



automation tests and deploymentExcellent experience in Spring Boot, REST APIs and distributed systemsExcellent knowledge and experience with deploying and developing on AWS and DockerExcellent programming skills with Java, React and TypescriptExperience building and supporting production‐grade servicesStrong understanding of cloud‐native application development conceptsRich API and system design experience; ability to design reliable, scalable, and maintainable systemsGood problem‐solving skills and ability to debug complex issuesRich experience as a Site Reliability Engineer accountable for SLOs and familiar with SRE best practices, architectures, and methodsGood knowledge of resiliency patterns and cloud securitySolid SQL or NoSQL experienceExcellent analytical capability and proficiency in using observability tools such as Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or PrometheusGood leadership, communication, fast‐learning ability and teamwork skillsKnowledge about AI systems and AI agentsFluent oral and written EnglishPreferred QualificationsExperience in Temporal IO, DynamoDB or PostgreSQL is a plusFamiliarity with workflow modelingExperience designing multi‐tenant systemsSalary TransparencySalary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
