Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team and provide essential care and assistance in a private home setting. This role focuses on enhancing the quality of life by supporting daily activities and promoting independence for a young adult in his 30s with a physical disability. If you love working with people but prefer a flexible schedule over a traditional 9-5 job, this position may be perfect for you. We are looking for open and friendly individuals who can provide personal care during afternoons, overnights, and some mid-mornings on both weekdays and weekends

Duties
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, shaving, and personal hygiene.

Assisting with meal preparation as well as helping with eating and drinking.

Repositioning and assisting with mobility, including using a ceiling lift for wheelchair transfers.

Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring client health.





Supporting daily routines and activities.

Performing light housekeeping duties, such as basic tidying, doing dishes, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Assisting with bathroom needs

Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications and experience:

Willingness to learn and adapt to new caregiving practices.

Current vulnerable sector check screening.

Cat-friendly attitude.

Previous experience in assisted living (preferred).

Familiarity with caregiving practices, including patient care and home care services.

Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized support.

Experience working with ceiling lifts (preferred).

Access to vehicle or reliable means of transportation

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $25.00 per hour
