About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Project Coordinator to join our civil construction team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting production of projects safely, within budget, with the allotted scheduled timelines, and to excellent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain communications and documentation with construction subtrades.
Timely placement of orders to maintain inventory of required site material.
Follow up on all tasks and ensure reminders are sent.
Create and maintain project logs.
Receive, examine and process documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for distribution to other departments.
Track, sort and distribute all paperwork to and from Head Office and answer phones, reply to emails, order and receive material/supplies, data entry, photocopying and filing.
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Site Supervisor as required.
Assist Trade Partners with respect to extras, drawings, completions, and building supplies.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects including earthworks, site grading, site works, road reconstruction, and related scopes.
Conduct full quantity take-offs and interpret drawings, specifications, and addenda.
Lead the end-to-end estimating and tender submission process, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and adherence to tender requirements.
Obtain subcontractor and supplier pricing and evaluate quotes for inclusion in bids.
Prepare RFI’s and liaise with clients/consultants for clarification during the tender stage.
Build detailed cost summaries, lead sheets, production rates, and bid schedules.
Qualifications: Proven experience in construction or civil engineering projects with a focus on project coordination or management is an asset
Strong clerical and administrative skills including proficiency with Office 365 suite of programs
Knowledge of using HCSS Web is an asset.
Basic knowledge of safety regulations including OHSA, WHMIS
Demonstrated skills with planning, organization, and the ability to multitask, as well as leadership and supervisory skills
Ability to problem solve in an effective manner
Valid Driver’s License and Vehicle
