Looking for a dedicated Woodworking Vocational Technician at Lasalle Community Comprehensive High School! Your expertise in small and large tools will guide students in practical learning.
As a technician, you’ll engage with students, helping them understand the mechanics of woodworking while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. A technical diploma or relevant journeyman certificate is essential, along with five years of hands-on experience in the trade. Your primary role will be to create a safe and structured learning setting for high school students and those with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate the safe operation of woodworking tools
• Guide students and provide one-on-one mentorship
• Manage equipment maintenance and safety audits
• Prepare instructional reports and development plans
• Assist with procurement and inventory management
Requirements:
• Hold a diploma or valid certificate in woodworking
• Minimum of five years’ experience in related trades
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with special needs students
• Familiarity with CSST regulations preferred
