Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a Planner in the Oil and Gas Sector in Fort McMurray, Alberta.
Plan multi-disciplinary field execution of contract trades employed in the repair, adjustment, modification, removal and/or installation of plant equipment within East Tank Farm, focusing on reducing unplanned backlog and building up a planned backlog.
Total rewards:$50.00 - $60.00 hourlySafety Sensitive position.
Travel may be required. Travel reimbursed as per policy.
12 Months of contract positionShift Schedule: 40hrs/week (M-F), 8hours a day
Candidates must be local to Fort McMurray.
A typical day: Develop detailed job plans for each task (labor, materials, tools, equipment, permits)/identify long lead items, and maximize resource productivity with the planned cost ready for scheduling.
Define safe work procedures and special safety considerations.
Include step-by-step job instructions and estimated duration per task.
Identify isolation points, lockout/tagout needs, and verify readiness with Operations.
Ensure all materials, spare parts, and tools are identified, procured, and available.
Successful candidates will have: Coordinate with warehouse, vendors, and contractors to confirm delivery before Execution, Create bill of materials (BOMs) and ensure long-lead items are tracked.
5+ Years of experience required.
Manage an effective short- and long-range maintenance plan, modify the plan for variations due to availability of resources, actual work completed or additional work requirements.
Maintain, improve and optimize job plans, task lists, strategies and procedures utilizing continuous improvement initiatives and techniques.
Assist in the development of maintenance programs and provide input and suggestions to improve effectiveness, processes, and procedures.
Ensure compliance to all relevant client policies and standards - including the Management of Change (MOC) process, MG&S;, maintenance business processes (M&R; Standard), and OEMs Manage Mtce.
Adhere to all health, safety and workplace standards, and ensure effective actions and programs are in place to sustain safety and reliability performance goals.
Collaborate with the OMC, Mtce Coord, Reliability Eng, Plant Eng, and Team Leads as required, Attend meetings as required to support planning, Occasional travel to Calgary may be required as requested, Secondary role may be asked to support field coordination/Scheduler.
