Mitsubishi Power Canada, Ltd. is a major supplier of steam turbines, gas turbines and generators to the energy industry in Canada. We are currently seeking for a journey person machinist to join our team!

Responsibilities

- Promote a safe working environment
- Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents
- Operate Machining equipment including Lathes, Mills and Grinding machines (Manual and CNC)
- Use of hand and power tools
- Completion of Quality Documentation
- General organization, housekeeping, and maintenance of the facility and equipment
- Participate in the planning of projects
- Contribute to building a positive team spirit
- Communicate effectively with coworkers at all levels
- Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties




- Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Journey person Machinist certification preferred
- Knowledge of Tosnuc, Siemens and Fanuc controllers an asset
- Manual dexterity and demonstrated ability for accurate and exact work with hand tools
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours and/or shift work during peak times
- Basic Computer skills
- Millwright experience would be an asset
