The Vu Lab at the University of British Columbia is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for cancer research. This position involves understanding the mechanisms behind hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis through innovative genomic approaches. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in molecular/cell biology, hematology, and RNA bioinformatics.
Key Responsibilities:
• Investigate RNA modifications and translation control in leukemia
• Conduct research using human and mouse models
• Manage projects while supervising undergraduate/graduate students
• Analyze patient samples of hematologic malignancies
• Collaborate with international institutions on research initiatives
Requirements:
• PhD or MD/PhD in relevant field
• 3 years postdoctoral experience for Research Associate
• Robust background in molecular and cell biology
• Expertise in animal models, particularly in hematology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
