Tool & Die Maker
As a Tool & Die Maker, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, repairing, and improving progressive dies that support production across the plant. Collaborating closely with Production and Maintenance teams, you will enhance tooling reliability, reduce downtime, and increase manufacturing capacity. Beyond maintaining tooling, you will contribute to developing tool room capabilities by sharing knowledge, supporting apprentices, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen our operations for the future.

Responsibilities

Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot progressive dies.

Work closely with Production and Maintenance teams to enhance tooling reliability and reduce downtime.

Develop tool room capabilities by sharing knowledge and supporting apprentices.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen operations.

Essential Skills

Tool & Die Maker certification or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing progressive dies in a manufacturing environment.

Solid knowledge of tool room equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.

Ability to read blueprints, tooling drawings, and work instructions.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Experience using precision measuring instruments.

Ability to work independently and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience mentoring apprentices or less experienced team members is an asset.

CAD/CAM experience is an asset.

Welding experience is an asset.

Work Environment
Dress code includes STWB (shoe or ankle high), jeans, and a tee shirt or sweater. No shorts or tanks allowed. Work on the 1st shift with flexible schedule: 6:30 a.m.–3 p.m., 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m., or 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Pitt Meadows, BC.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
