The Benefits Analyst will provide group benefits consulting support, including design and financial management for existing medium and large clients and prospects. The Benefits Analyst will work closely with internal consulting teams, interface with vendors, support client deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met.The Advantages Analyst will:Contribute to the overall design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits for clientsPerform annual renewal analysis and negotiations with carriers; prepare client reports and presentationsComplete experience reporting, budget projections, and reviewing plan financial performanceReview financial statements for accuracy and adherence to underwriting agreementsGather data and determine cost impact for plan design changesConduct marketings; including preparing and submitting specifications, analysis, cost comparisons and recommendations on marketing responses, and preparing marketing reportsSupport the consulting team in preparing documents for client presentations and meetingsParticipate in industry conferences, seminars, etc. in order to keep abreast of industry trends and activitiesBuild relationships with clients, carriers, and internal, cross-functional teamsTo be successful as a Benefits Analyst with Meldrum Horne, you will need:2 - 5 years of professional experience in group benefitsCompletion of a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.Knowledge of Canadian benefits industry and group benefits financial underwriting requirements for all types of employee benefits plansAdvanced competency with Microsoft ExcelProficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint,

The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
