This role requires dependable individuals to support our necropsy team at the University of Saskatchewan. You will handle heavy manual labor and work with specialized tools, including power equipment and an overhead crane. The position involves exposure to animal remains and pathogens, with appropriate safety training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform necropsies on animal remains with precision
• Operate laboratory equipment and power tools
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective gear
• Manage physical demands and heavy lifting tasks
• Participate in rotational call duty for weekends and holidays
Requirements:
• Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technology program
• Relevant education or prior lab experience
• Familiarity with veterinary necropsy environments (preferred)
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols
• Willingness to receive rabies vaccination
