Tim Hortons in Courtenay, BC is hiring a Baker at 2599 Cliffe Avenue. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across various shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Work Setting

Bake shop / Café

Responsibilities

- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Prepare special orders
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff (1 to 2 people)
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Operate machinery
- Organize and maintain inventory

Food Specialties

Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Donuts and muffins

Work Conditions

Rapid-paced environment, attention to detail, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, work under pressure.

Requirements





- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in baking
- Accurate, dependable, reliable, and a team player
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to distinguish between colours, hand-eye co-ordination, manual dexterity

Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Shift, Weekend

Salary

$18.25 per hour / 40 hours per week
