We are seeking an intermediate-level Construction Manager to support delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects. This position is intentionally targeted to experienced contractor-side professionals—such as Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, or early-career Superintendents—who are ready to broaden their responsibility and gain owner-side delivery experience.What You'll Be DoingAct as the Owner’s representative for defined construction scopes or site areasCoordinate contractors, inspectors, and internal technical teamsSupport construction sequencing, sitelogistics, and constructability planningReview RFIs, shop drawings, and field changesMonitor schedule, cost, quality, and safety performanceSupport progress reporting, issue tracking, and meeting coordinationAssist with commissioning, turnover, and project closeout activitiesThis is a hands‑on, field‑engaged role with regular site presence. You will receive mentorship and technical support from senior construction managers and engineers.Who This Role Is ForProject Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, or Project Managers from contractor organizationsEarly‑career Superintendents or field‑focused construction leadsProfessionals with approximately 8–10 years of construction experienceIndividuals looking to step into broader construction leadership without contractor commercial riskQualificationsExperience & QualificationsRequired:Approximately 8–10 years of construction or project delivery experienceExperience working for a contractor on civil, infrastructure, or industrial projectsStrong understanding of construction methods, sequencing,



and safetyComfort working on active construction sites and interfacing with contractorsWater, wastewater, utilities, or municipal infrastructure experienceExperience working with municipalities or public ownersA university degree is not required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
