Advance First Nations interests as a Policy and Intergovernmental Relations Officer based in Winnipeg, MB. This full time role focuses on government relations, policy analysis, and organizational planning.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the successful candidate will develop business cases and provide policy analysis to support the organization’s priorities. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, this position requires research and analysis along with creating high-quality briefing materials.
You will play a key role in strengthening advocacy and representation for First Nations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support organizational planning and strategic initiatives
- Research and analyze relevant legislation and policies
- Build relations with federal, provincial, and Indigenous governments
- Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership
- Monitor governmental changes impacting First Nations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; a Master’s is an asset
- Minimum five years in policy development or intergovernmental relations
- Experience with First Nations governments preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Drive meaningful change in policy and governance to support the First Nations representation and advocacy.
