Become a vital part of Black & McDonald's Western Utilities team in Edmonton, AB as a Journeyman Electrician. This role focuses on both installation and maintenance tasks including streetlight and power distribution work.
As an experienced Journeyman Electrician, you will troubleshoot electrical issues, pull cable and wiring, and assist with various installations. The position demands effective communication and the ability to work independently on site while following safety protocols. Leveraging your advanced skills, you will contribute to a collaborative and creative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and test electrical equipment and devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues
• Pull cables and wiring for installations




• Maintain records of maintenance activities
• Assist in setting up and framing pole bases and streetlights
Requirements:
• Minimum 4 years as a ticketed Journeyman Electrician
• Strong understanding of wiring diagrams and schematics
• Valid Alberta Driver’s License required
• Able to operate aerial devices at heights
• Willingness to travel to various sites
