Take charge of safety and health as a Safety Officer with Coast Mountain Bus Company. In this role, you'll oversee workplace safety practices and foster a proactive safety culture.

Your position at CMBC is pivotal for maintaining safety standards in one of Canada’s busiest transit services. With a diploma in Occupational Health & Safety and a minimum of three years' relevant experience, you will engage in hazard analysis and provide swift incident response. As a representative at safety meetings, you will guide committees and organize safety training sessions for various departments within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
• Attend and contribute to safety committee meetings
• Conduct workplace inspections and regular audits




• Investigate and report on incidents and ergonomic issues
• Assist in developing safety training programs
• Support management with WorkSafeBC investigations

Requirements:
• Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
• Eligible for Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation
• Minimum three years’ experience in safety roles
• Robust proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License required
