**Job Title: Reach Truck and Order Picker Operator**
**Job Description**
This role involves safely operating a reach truck and order picker in a busy plumbing distribution warehouse while performing a mix of equipment operation, material handling, and general labor.
You will work with RF scanners to pick, pack, load, and receive products, and you will follow all safety standards, including the use of harnesses and other protective equipment.
**Responsibilities**
Operate reach trucks and order pickers to move, pick, and store products in a busy plumbing distribution workplace.
Use RF scanners to accurately pick orders, scan products, and update inventory records in real time.
Perform shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading trucks and verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Handle packing duties such as preparing, labeling, and organizing products for shipment or storage.
Operate warehouse forklifts, including counterbalance equipment, to move materials safely and efficiently.
Follow all safety standards and procedures, including wearing a harness and using material handling equipment correctly.
Perform material handling and general labor tasks, including lifting items weighing 50+ lbs and organizing products in the warehouse.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse standards.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity, accuracy, and quality targets.
Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies promptly to the appropriate personnel.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum 2+ years of material handling equipment (MHE) experience operating reach trucks and order pickers.
Minimum 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience, including counterbalance forklifts.
Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks.
Demonstrated experience in picking, shipping, receiving, loading, and packing in a warehouse environment.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs safely and repeatedly as part of material handling and general labor duties.
Strong adherence to safety standards, including proper use of harnesses and other safety equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced distribution environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Forklift certification is a robust asset.
Experience operating a combilift is an asset.
Previous experience in a plumbing or industrial distribution environment is beneficial.
Comfort working with material handling equipment for most of the shift while also performing physical tasks as needed.
Reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts from Monday to Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

**Work Environment**
This role is based in a busy plumbing distribution warehouse where most of the shift is spent operating material handling equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, counterbalance forklifts, and other MHE.
The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
You will work with RF scanners and standard warehouse systems while performing tasks such as picking, packing, shipping, receiving, loading, and general material handling.
The environment is physically active and requires regular lifting of items weighing 50+ lbs.
Safety is a core focus, and you will follow all safety standards, including wearing a harness and appropriate protective gear.
The facility includes an on-site gym, offering a convenient way to stay active and support overall well-being.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vaughan, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
