Bindery Operator - Afternoon Shift/Evening Shift

Are you a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with experience in print and labeling? Join our team as a Bindery Operator, where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation. If you have strong mechanical skills, a commitment to quality, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

- Print Set Up - Assist in completing press machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Print Operation - Responsible for operating and maintaining the digital toner printer, binder and collator
- Print Quality - Monitor the production process, inspect and test materials and equipment using secure and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met
- Maintenance - Perform routine preventative operational maintenance and minor troubleshooting and repairs to equipment.
- Safety Orientation - Maintain a safe work environment
- Operational Support - Perform other duties as required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:





Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Skills

- Previous experience in the print industry would be considered an asset (Projected equipment (subject to change): Heidelberg Versafire LP press, C14000, Booklet Contour Laser Cutter, Smart Binder SB-3, Booklet Laser Cutter)
- Knowledge of GMP, GDP and 5S will be considered an asset
- Strong safety- oriented mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical skills, manufacturing experience and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Exceptional time management and organization skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Works well in a team environment
- Excellent mathematical skills
- High energy, self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
