Commissioning experience is considered a strong asset.Important: This opportunity is a 6-month contract engagement, offered on a consulting and/or fixed-term basis, and is not a permanent full-time employee position.WhatYou'llDoLead and coordinate day-to-day project delivery on-site, ensuring robust outcomes across scope, schedule, budget, risk, and qualityAct as a hands-on technical point of contact for mechanical or electrical systems, providing oversight during construction, systems integration, and closeoutCoordinate closely with contractors, trades, design consultants, and commissioning agents to ensure systems areproperly installed, tested, and verified against design intentSupport commissioning activities and documentation as needed, helping ensure a smooth transition from construction to operational useIdentifyand manage project risks, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards,



and safety requirementsProvide clear, concise reporting and recommendations to project leadership and client stakeholdersSupport close-out activities, deficiency resolution, and handover to operationsWhatYou'llBring8-10+ years of project management experience within mechanical, electrical, or MEP-intensive construction or retrofit environmentsStrong technical grounding in mechanical or electrical building systems, gained through direct site-based construction experienceCommissioning experience or exposure considered a solid assetDriven and client-focused, with strong technical capabilities, a sharp problem-solving mindset, and a consulting mentality that puts clients firstDemonstrated ability to provide hands-on, on-site coordination during complex, fast-paced construction phases - calm under pressure and comfortable with ambiguity as priorities shiftExperience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, design consultants, and commissioning agents, with a collaborative, community-minded approachStrong communicationand stakeholder management skills, able to translate technical information into clear updates for clients and stakeholdersStrong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to be on-site daily as required by project needsProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification considered a strong assetExisting Government of Canada security clearance (Reliability, Secret, or Top Secret) considered an assetWhat We OfferThis is a 6-month contract position, with hourly compensation expected to be in the range of $90-$110 per hour.
