Core ResponsibilitiesOversee accreditation and CE inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and ensure escalation as neededManage the intake process for educational programs submitted by external providers for CE creditReview submitted programs to determine accredited CE credit hours and issue approvals on behalf of CIRO with minimal supervisionProvide feedback to applicants to help them understand CIRO’s accreditation decisionLiaise with Dealer Members, Approved Persons and other stakeholders regarding the accreditation process and CE programs, incorporating feedback as neededProactively identify opportunities to enhance CIRO CE programParticipate in discussions with the Proficiency Committee and other advisory committeesReport to stakeholders on the accreditation process and CE programsLead and mentor the CE Specialists in their workAct as a key contributor to CIRO objectives to enhance the CIRO CE program,
including harmonization of the two programsKey Skills and CompetenciesMust-HavesRelevant post‑secondary educationMinimum 5 years in securities regulation and/or investment industryExcellent working knowledge of CIRO registration, proficiency and CE requirements, including competencies of CIRO (ID and MFD) Approved PersonsExcellent judgment in applying accreditation criteria to a wide range of material; and tact when dealing with Dealer Members, Approved Persons and applicantsAwareness of regulatory, business and cultural trends relevant to Dealer Members and Approved PersonsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to deal with multiple tasks and meet deadlines with competing prioritiesStrong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skillsStrong attention to detailA proven ability to work productively and collaboratively with colleagues and various stakeholdersNice to HavesExperience in skilled certifications, learning design and/or education assessment an assetAbility to work in both English and French is an assetWhat we offerCompetitive base salary in alignment with marketPerformance‑based bonusHybrid work environmentEmployer‑paid health benefits and spending
