Brunel has partnered with Hatch to support the hiring of a Geotechnical Engineer to join their team. With over 70 years of expertise across mining, energy, and infrastructure, Hatch delivers innovative and sustainable solutions worldwide.Through this partnership, we are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join Hatch’s Project Delivery Group (PDG)—a dynamic and globally integrated team delivering world-class projects. The PDG combines deep expertise in sustainable studies, asset development, and operations, leveraging industry-leading methodologies, governance, and systems.The Geotechnical Engineer role is part of our team of engineers and geoscientists and will provide engineering services to projects across Hatch in the Infrastructure, Mining and Energy sectors. This role participates in a wide range of projects covering advanced numerical modeling, analysis and design for front-end planning as well as detailed engineering for multi-discipline projects, and geotechnical site investigations.As the successful candidate, you will:Lead advanced geotechnical and geomechanics studies with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope.Identify project works that can add to the geotechnical field and where possible write a paperParticipate in scoping requirements for proposalsParticipate in and contribute to design reviewsRepresent the discipline in the project’s engineering coordination meetingsProvide and/or coordinate training for resources assigned to the projectPrepare and/or review project procedures,



standard specifications and design criteriaReview and evaluate technical work prepared by junior engineers, intermediate engineers, designers, technicians, and technologistsEnsure relevant technical experts are involved in the design process as required and facilitate the sharing of technical expertise both across projects and across Hatch offices globally.Perform conceptual and detailed engineering designUndertake office and field based geotechnical engineering for projectsProvide specialist geotechnical advice and analytical servicesPrepare engineering calculations where requiredPrepare technical specifications where requiredPrepare and contribute to technical memos and reports, within areas of expertiseProvide input to engineering, operating and capital cost estimatesStamp documents and drawings as required and if appropriately registeredUndertake construction supervision and management dependent upon project demandsSupport of site engineering team to provide technical solutions and timely response to technical queriesWork to ensure the implementation of safety in design and integrity principles in design documentationYou bring to the role:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering from an accredited universityRegistered as a Professional Engineer or Geoscientist7+ years’ experience in relevant geotechnical designExperience with working on projects in a multi-disciplinary environmentSound understanding of design engineering codes and technical standardsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent planning and organizational skillsAbility to function with minimal supervisionSafety awareness.Work with high-performing, collaborative teams making a real impactBe part of innovative, global projects across industriesEngaging and collaborative office workplace#J-18808-Ljbffr
