Introduction

We are seeking an experienced professional to support a large enterprise banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM Instana and Dynatrace, along with a background in application performance monitoring, observability, and enterprise systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Instana and Dynatrace.
- Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and enterprise observability platforms.
- Strong understanding of monitoring concepts including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and distributed systems.
- Experience troubleshooting application performance issues in complex environments.
- Knowledge of cloud, hybrid cloud, and enterprise application architectures.
- Experience working with DevOps practices and production support environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Prior work experience in the banking/financial services industry is an asset.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Instana certification and/or Dynatrace certification.
- Experience with IBM technologies, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other cloud-native technologies.
- Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE),



DevOps, Cloud Operations, or Performance Engineering.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Implement, configure, and optimize observability solutions using IBM Instana and Dynatrace.
- Monitor application performance, infrastructure health, and user experience metrics across enterprise environments.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reporting capabilities to provide actionable insights.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for application performance issues, incidents, and system degradations.
- Support Application Performance Monitoring (APM) initiatives across hybrid cloud and distributed environments.
- Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, DevOps teams, and operations teams to improve system reliability.
- Integrate monitoring tools with DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
- Provide recommendations and technical guidance related to observability best practices.
