The University of Alberta invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Forest Ecohydrology. This position emphasizes research addressing climate change, wildfire, flooding, and forest management practices. You'll lead a research program supported by a $3,000,000 endowment, mentoring students and overseeing long-term field research sites.
Key Responsibilities:



- Conduct creative research on forest hydrology - Develop strategies for ecosystem resilience and water sustainability - Secure funding for advancing research initiatives - Supervise undergraduate and graduate students - Maintain and oversee field monitoring research sites
Requirements: - Strong background in forest hydrology research - Experience securing research funding - Commitment to mentoring students and post-doctoral researchers - Ability to address climate change and disturbance pressures - Readiness to work in-person at North Campus, Edmonton
