Job Title: Cognos Expert – Financial Reporting Specialist

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong Financial Reporting background to support upcoming project requirements. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level professional who can quickly engage and provide expertise in IBM Cognos reporting solutions, financial analytics, and enterprise reporting environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

(Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

- Extensive hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics / Cognos BI.
- Strong background in financial reporting, analytics, and business intelligence.
- Proven experience developing complex Cognos reports and dashboards.
- Strong understanding of reporting frameworks, data models, and enterprise reporting environments.
- Experience working with financial data and translating business requirements into reporting solutions.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.
- Experience with Cognos Framework Manager, Transformer, and Report Studio/Analytics.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience supporting large enterprise or financial services environments.




- Experience with additional business intelligence tools and platforms.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and solutions.
- Experience in financial services or related industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain financial reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics / Cognos BI.
- Work closely with finance and business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop complex reports, queries, dashboards, and reporting models.
- Support and optimize existing Cognos reporting environments.
- Troubleshoot reporting issues and perform performance tuning where required.
- Analyze financial data and reporting requirements to deliver accurate and actionable insights.
- Collaborate with technical teams, business analysts, and finance teams to ensure reporting solutions meet business needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Cognos reporting capabilities and best practices.
