KBL is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team and support ongoing projects throughout the Leduc area. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. Working primarily in our shop, with occasional field service work, you'll tackle a wide variety of mechanical and electrical repairs. Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: 8 and 6 Wednesday to Wednesday

Role Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tractors, heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Maintain specialized paint and thermoplastic systems
- Complete CVIP inspections and ensure fleet compliance
- Perform field repairs as required
- Maintain service records and manage shop inventory
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures (PPE, LOTO, FLHA)
Role Requirements:
- 3rd or 4th year Heavy Duty Mechanic – Required
- Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic is an asset
- Valid CVIP License is an asset
- Class 1 or Class 3 License with Air Brakes
- Robust diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience mentoring apprentices is an asset
