Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to join our team. This role involves engaging with youth and supporting their development and well-being. The Youth Worker will create a positive, inclusive environment that fosters growth, learning, and social interaction. This position offers an chance to make a meaningful difference in the life of the youth.

Responsibilities

- Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the needs of the youth.
- Provide one-on-one support and mentorship to foster confidence and social skills
- Assist in planning and facilitating educational and recreational programs
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment
- Monitor and document participant progress and behavior, reporting any concerns to supervisors
- Promote positive behavior management strategies and conflict resolution techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of activity spaces

Qualifications

- Experience working with children or individuals with specific needs.




- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to working with young people
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to creating a supportive workplace for youth
- Must have a valid class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle.
- Must clear a HUB application. (criminal record check to work with children and youth in BC)

Pay: $25.50-$27.00 per hour
