Job Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Location: Barrie, ON

Job Description:

Solus Support Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, reliable Male PSW to provide care and support to an individual in the family home located in Barrie, ON.

Rate of Pay: $23.08 per hour + vacation pay

Work Days: Monday, Wednesday, and alternate Saturdays

Work Hours: 12 hour shifts, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Assistance with:

- Provide consistant, client-centered support with activities of daily living
- Assisting with personal hygiene routines
- Assisting with all transfers (bed, wheelchair, stander, walker)
- Monitoring for signs of discomfort, pain, fatigue, and medical needs
- Ensure safety during mobility, upper body and fine motor activities
- Ensuring proper positioning and alignment to maintain comfort at all times
- Supporting participation in standing and walking routines
- Assisting with equipment setup (stander, walker, wheelchair)
- Maintaining a clean and safe setting

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from an Ontario recognized program (to be verified)
- Minimum two years related experience supporting individuals in homes and/or hospital settings




- Experience and comfortable with providing hands on personal care and assisting with daily activities
- Physical capability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and demanding care needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow the individual care plan
- Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA) certification
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C (or BLS)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License, access to a reliable vehicle
