Job Summary
Auto Imports is looking to add a tech to our busy shop! We focus in European and Import vehicles, have 2 bays for every tech and 2 dedicated advisors. We've been in business since 1958 and are owned and operated by a technician. If you want to join a shop that's closed Saturdays, you'll have a ton of work and a ton of fun. Let's chat.

Payplan is open for conversation. Hourly. Flat-rate. Both (Hybrid). Let's see what makes sense for both of us. We are looking to fill this spot with someone long-term. This is a family business, we treat everyone like family.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive tools to complete repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Read and interpret mechanical schematics to troubleshoot complex problems
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they become major repairs
- Assemble vehicle components or parts as needed during repair processes




- Assist with vehicle diagnostics using electronic testing equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients

Requirements

- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic,
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required during repairs or parts handling
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and the use of diagnostic software
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred
