Join our vibrant team as a Gardener and unleash your passion for creating stunning outdoor spaces! We are looking for a horticulture enthusiast who will complete our dynamic team. The successful candidate will accompany one other gardener and travel to various sites in and around HRM to address properties to a set specification, to a high standard, and within an agreed time frame.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planting shrubs, flowers, and perennials as well as some small trees;
- Maintenance of green spaces, weeding, pruning, deadheading, staking, watering, etc;
- Survey of plants;
- Detect watering or irrigation anomalies of plants;
- Monitoring of plants;
- Landscape inspection to detect the presence of pests and diseases;
- Application of pesticides, fungicides, and diseases;
- Report to Supervisor.





Requirements:

- Possess a valid Class 5 drivers license;
- First aid and WHIMIS preferred;
- Enjoy working in a team and be punctual;
- Resourcefulness and autonomy;
- Effective prioritization and time management skills;
- Must be tolerant to climate hazards (heat, rain, cold);
- Physical strength and stamina;
- Must be versatile to work all required shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
