Division Manager – Southern Alberta
Location: High River, Alberta
Employment Type: Full-Time | In office
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Division Manager – Southern Alberta to lead the performance and growth of Agriculture branches across the Southern Alberta region, based out of the High River Agriculture branch.
The Division Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, market share, asset management, employee development, and overall operational performance across the division. This position requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can build strong customer relationships, develop high-performing teams, manage financial performance, and identify opportunities for continued business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, execute, and achieve annual budgets and business plans for branches within the assigned division.
- Drive sales growth and profitability across Wholegoods, Parts, Service, and Administration.
- Establish and monitor branch performance targets using company-defined KPIs.
- Manage inventory and company assets to achieve appropriate inventory turns, aging targets, and asset protection.
- Ensure the right inventory mix is maintained to support sales, customer demand, and market share objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop branch managers and employees to build a motivated, accountable, and high-performing workforce.
- Evaluate management performance against established goals and KPIs and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve market share objectives.
- Monitor competitive activity,
market conditions, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.
- Provide feedback and recommendations to senior leadership regarding future opportunities and competitive pressures.
- Oversee division accounts receivable in partnership with the Director of Credit Services.
- Maintain a consistent presence at assigned branches to provide leadership, direction, and operational oversight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and other key business partners.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Coordinate and participate in customer and employee events, including customer fly-ins, open houses, recruitment events, and other company initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the agriculture industry.
- Minimum 5 years of management and/or business operations experience.
- Previous experience in agricultural equipment sales and product support.
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, cost control, and business planning.
- Proven ability to establish goals, KPIs,
and performance targets.
- Strong leadership and employee development skills.
- Excellent business judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with senior leadership, branch teams, suppliers, and customers.
- Flexible and adaptable leadership style with the ability to balance strategic planning and hands-on operational management.
- Must hold and maintain a valid passport, as travel is required.
- A degree or diploma in business or a related field is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
