Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cook/Kitchen Hand to join our dynamic food service team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality, food preparation, and providing excellent guest experiences. The successful candidate will support kitchen operations, assist with meal preparation, and ensure a clean and organized work environment. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality settings is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a focus on food safety.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Assist with food handling, plating, and presentation to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste
- Support food safety protocols and proper storage of ingredients
- Operate POS systems for order processing and cashiering duties
- Serve food to guests efficiently and courteously in a fast-paced environment
- Handle cash transactions accurately and manage cash handling responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and guest satisfaction
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming atmosphere through excellent guest services
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Familiarity with customer service practices in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience including cleaning, meal preparation, and food handling is essential
- Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus
- Barista experience or serving background can be advantageous but not mandatory
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering excellent guest experiences
