PipeSak Incorporated is a small local firm with an international reach. Since 1996, PipeSak has been supplying the pipeline industry in Canada, the US, and internationally with innovative products to protect oil & gas pipelines during the construction process.

Overview

PipeSak is currently recruiting for an experienced and detail oriented Senior Logistics Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging all shipping & transportation requirements from the initial quoting stage through to final delivery.

This fast-paced position requires candidates to balance competing priorities, as they are responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping

- Generate on-demand shipping quotes for both domestic and international shipments (truck, rail, ocean, and air)
- Plan and execute shipments: Notify warehouses of orders, prepare shipping & customs documents, track outbound inventory, and ensure all orders fall within quoted budgets
- Track & troubleshoot all shipments until successfully delivered & communicate relevant updates to sales team and customers
- Manage freight procurement, carrier, and warehouse relationships
- Expand the shipping transportation network and onboard current suppliers to meet localized demand surges, as required
- Ensure that all shipments comply with company policies, and all applicable transportation and customs regulations

Budgeting

- Be accountable for the logistics budget and all associated shipping & freight costs
- Develop and implement plans to improve internal processes that reduce overall transportation costs




- Analyze spending variances and create and execute cost-control measures to bring all expenditures back into alignment

Documentation and Record Management

- Maintain and issue all internal inventory records on a weekly basis
- Reconcile outside warehouse inventories on a monthly basis
- Verify, approve, and document all shipping related costs (freight, courier, 3rd party warehouse, & customs invoices). Record and account for any pricing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records of all shipments and customs data according to company standards
- Maintain up to date records of all dimensional & shipping data for PipeSak products

Operational Support

- Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality within the company
- Work closely with sales, accounting, and PipeSak customers on a regular basis. Provide secondary support to supply chain functions, as required.

Requirements

- Proven experience in logistics coordination and supply chain functions.
- Experience with freight management, 3PL coordination, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and demand planning.
- Proficiency in sourcing strategies, pricing negotiations, and materials management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments including procurement, warehousing, transportation providers, accounting and sales team.

Pay: $65,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
