Overview

Dr. Intekhab Hossain's Minimally Invasive General Surgery office in Orillia, Ontario is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and organized Medical Administrative Assistant. Your commitments will be to provide excellent and timely patient communication along with quality and efficient administrative support to Dr. Hossain's practice.

Responsibilities include

- Efficient and organized management of incoming and outgoing communication through phone, email and eFax.
- Scheduling of patients for clinics and procedures.
- Continuous communication with Dr. Hossain for effective and effective running of the office.
- Assistance with billing documentation.

Job details

- Full-time, permanent position.
- Hybrid in-person (primarily) and remote work.
- Pay $22-25 per hour.
- 3 weeks of paid vacation annually.
- Job start date mid to late September.

Qualifications

- Prior experience as medical administrative assistant strongly preferred.
- Medical Office Administration certification an asset,



however previous work experience will be favoured.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records an asset, in particular Accuro. Training will be provided.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Must be effective communicator, self-motivated, independent, able to prioritize multiple responsibilities with strong time management skills, and dependable.
