Lawlor Safety was founded in Hamilton in 1962 to provide safety equipment to the local steel industry. Lawlor Safety is looking for a Warehouse Associate / Local Delivery Driver to join our Hamilton facility. The position is full-time Monday to Friday with rotating Saturday coverage.

The Warehouse Associate / Local Delivery Driver is responsible for the transfer of goods from our suppliers to our customers. Goods are received from suppliers and either stored, stocked in our retail area, or shipped directly to our customers. Daily deliveries in the Niagara to Guelph region will be fulfilled using our Sprinter Van.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Deliver orders to customers or pick up orders from suppliers and deliver to our Guelph location using our company sprinter van. Prepare and execute a daily shipment route and schedule.
- Receive shipments from couriers and freight companies into our building.
- Verify shipment contents into our computer system.
- Enter received contents into our computer system.
- Stock products received in the store or warehouse, and/or ship them directly to our customers.
- Pick, pack and ship customer orders from the warehouse and the sales floor.
- Verify customer orders and process orders.
- Organize stocks and verify inventory.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse work environment.




- Maintain the in-store pick up to ensure its up to date.
- Operate the company vehicle in a safe, responsible manner.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Answer phones when required
- Participate in product educational sessions.
- Assist customers in our retail store when scheduled/required.
- Keep a clean, safe and orderly workplace.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Background and Experience Required:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Shipper/Receiver in a similar warehouse environment required.
- Post-Secondary Education or equivalent in education and/or experience preferred.
- Experience providing local deliveries using a company vehicle is considered an asset.
- A strong customer service background is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills; ability to effectively manage space.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs. without restriction and work on your feet in a warehouse environment for large portions of the day.
- Valid Ontario drivers license and clean drivers abstract is required.

Pay: $22.00-$24.50 per hour
